With a high demand for quality licensed child care services in Long Island, Academic Explorers expanded into the North Merrick community in the Fall of 2020. Our Merrick location offers a more intimate setting with smaller class sizes for young children starting at 6 weeks old in our infant class. Our programs operate year-round and offer extended hours for families who need early morning or late evening child care.
MERRICK CHILD CARE PROGRAMS
Teachers support our babies learning how to crawl, walk, and play with developmentally appropriate activities.
Ages:
6 weeks - 2 years
For families that occasionally need child care when their regular child care provider is unavailable.
Ages:
3 - 5 years
Through dramatic play and interactive learning, social-emotional skills are developed in our preschool classrooms.
Ages:
2 - 5 years
We provide pick up and drop off service to and from homes and schools for kids enrolled in our child care programs.
Ages:
6 weeks - 12 years
Free meals and snacks, outdoor play, homework help, fun activities are included in our before & after school.
Grades:
Pre-K - Grade K
About the director
Ms. Rochelle joined the Academic Explorers family as a parent enrolling her children first in 2019 at our Roosevelt center. After consistently demonstrating our company core values and winning Parent of the Year at our Annual Holiday Party, she joined our team as an Infant Teacher here at our Merrick center in the Fall of 2020. She currently has her Child Development Associate. While in pursuit of her Bachelor's Degree, Ms. Rochelle serves as the current Director of our Merrick location.
